Sabine Ottilie, Ph.D.
Program Manager, CAMPP
Sabine Ottilie did her graduate work at the Max-Planck-Institute in Martinsried, Germany and received her Ph.D. in Microbiology from the Wolfgang-Goethe-University in Frankfurt, Germany. During the past 20 years, she has worked in academia and industry, and has an extensive research background in the fields of infectious diseases, small molecule drug discovery, molecular oncology, immuno-oncology, target validation, signal transduction, cell cycle regulation, apoptosis, and natural products. She likes to travel and spend time with her three adult children.
Elise Ohki, M.S.
Project Manager, Calibr
Elise received her M.S. in Interdisciplinary Natural Sciences with a focus in Neuroscience from the Roswell Park Cancer Institute and SUNY Buffalo. She has experience in R&D and Operations in the biotechnology sector. Her work focused on the development of culture media and gene expression tools in primary cells and stem cells. She also led a small molecule synthesis team. Elise is a co-founder of Monserate Biotechnology Group, a protein expression and purification CMO. Outside of work, she enjoys playing several instruments, athletic activities, cooking, traveling and spending time with her family.
Cassandra Rodrigue, B.Eng, BBA
Financial Project Manager, Scripps
Cassandra received her B.Engin Bioresource Engineering from McGill University and a BBA from HEC Montreal. She worked as a compliance consultant for environmental and planning services before joining Scripps Research in 2018 as a grants administrator. She likes to say that math is her favorite language because it is universal. In her free time, she enjoys exploring new restaurants and traveling to off-the-beaten path destinations.
Faye McDonald
Project Administrator
Faye started her career as the Program Manager of Discover Pacific Beach. She developed and managed budgets, and boosted business engagement and communication in the community. She also worked as a Paralegal. Before joining the Chanda lab, Faye was the Asstistant Director of Administration for Salk’s Cancer Center, where she worked on various large grant applications. She is excited to be part of the Chanda lab because she enjoys working with a diverse group of talented scientists. As a native Californian, Faye enjoys hiking, swimming, and sitting on the beach with a good book.
